Shares of Mechel, TMK, UGC down on Moscow Exchange amid sanctions

MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. The price of shares of Mechel, TMK (Pipe Metallurgical Company), Uzhuralzoloto (UGC) fell as Monday trading opened on Moscow Exchange after the US Department of the Treasury imposed sanctions against those companies, according to trading data.
As of 10:00 a.m. Moscow time (7:00 a.m. GMT) the price of Mechel shares was down by 5.17% at 262.4 rubles per share, the UGC price was down by 6.25% at 0.739 rubles, while the price of TMK was down by 3.9% at 209.2 rubles.
As of 10:44 a.m. Moscow time (7:44 a.m. GMT) the Mechel price was down by 1.74% at 271.9 rubles per share, the price of UGC shares was down by 0.44% at 0.785 rubles, while the price of TMK was down by 0.56% at 216.48 rubles.
On February 23, the US Treasury Department put Mechel, TMK (Pipe Metallurgical Company), Uzhuralzoloto and its president Konstantin Strukov on the sanctions list. On February 22, the UK expanded the list of sanctions against Moscow by adding Mechel’s board chairman and largest shareholder Igor Zyuzin.
