Russia’s annual inflation staying at 7.57% — Economy Ministry
The ministry forecasts inflation to be 4.5% in Russia this year
MOSCOW, February 21. /TASS/. Annual inflation in Russia stayed flat in weekly terms from February 13 to 19 and totaled 7.57%, the Russian Ministry of Economic Development says in its current price review.
"Inflation decelerated to 0.11% in the consumer market over the week from February 13 to 19; price growth rates did not change year on year: 7.57%. Inflation totaled 0.25% in the food segment. Prices changed by 1.35% for fruits and vegetables and by 0.15% for other foods. Nonfoods prices lost 0.04% over the reporting week; the price decline resumed for electric and domestic appliances," the ministry said.
"In the services sector, the price growth rate dropped to 0.07% amid the domestic airfare price growth becoming slower," the ministry added.
The ministry forecasts inflation to be 4.5% in Russia this year.
