ASTANA, January 16. /TASS/. Kazakhstan produced about 90 mln metric tons of oil as of the end of the last year, Energy Minister of the Republic Almassadam Satkaliyev said at a briefing.
"We planned from the start about 92-93 mln metric tons as regards oil production volumes. In actual fact, we produced about 90 mln metric tons," the minister said.
"Firstly, this is associated with turnarounds at major oil producing enterprises," Satkaliyev noted. "We also performed proactive work with participation of oil industry for voluntary reduction of production volumes in view of our commitments within the OPEC+ framework," the minister added.
