YAKUTSK, January 15. /TASS/. The Yakutia advance-development territory is planned to incorporate another two districts - Lensky and Marninsky, where big industrial projects are underway, Director of the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic's Branch in Yakutia Dmitry Borisov told TASS.
"We plan applications in 2024 to have the advance-development territory incorporate the Lensky and the Mirninsky Districts. The Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic has supported fully the investor's application for the large-scale Novolenskaya thermal power plant to implement a project to build a facility with a capacity of up to 550 MW to meet the projected demand in the combined energy network of Siberia and the Far East," he said.

In early 2020, Russia's Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin supported the plan to expand Yakutia's advance-development territory.
