MOSCOW, January 11. /TASS/. Sales of new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs) in Russia in 2024 may increase by 15% compared to 2023 to 1.3 mln vehicles, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) reported.

The market share of electric vehicles in 2024 could reach 1.5-2% or more than 20,000 vehicles, according to association.

The association noted that, according to PPK JSC (Passport Industrial Consulting), car sales at the end of 2023 amounted to 1.13 mln vehicles (+57.8% against the 2022 figure).
