Russia ranks third among gas suppliers to Spain for the last year after Algeria and the United States
MADRID, January 10. /TASS/. Russia ranks second in terms of liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to Spain in December 2023, according to data released by the Spanish energy company Enagas.
In December 2023, Spain received 5,481 GWh of LNG from Russia. Russia accounted therefore for more than 20% of total gas purchases by the kingdom.
Throughout 2023, Spain purchased the equivalent of 72,690 GWh of LNG from Russia, compared to 53,859 GWh in 2022. Russia ranks third among gas suppliers to Spain for the last year after Algeria and the United States.
In June 2023, Russia topped the list of gas suppliers to Spain. In 2022, Russia was fourth in terms of gas supplies to the Kingdom, behind only the US, Algeria and Nigeria.
