Grain stocks in Russian agricultural companies down 2% as of December 1 — Rosstat

MOSCOW, January 10. /TASS/. Grain inventories with Russian agricultural companies (net of small businesses) dropped by 2% year on year as of December 1, 2023 and amounted to 35.5 mln metric tons, the Russian Federal State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported.

In particular, wheat inventories plunged by 3.2% in the reporting period to 24.8 mln metric tons. Grain maize inventories gained 23.5% to four mln metric tons.

Grain and pulse crops sales (net of corn) by agricultural companies surged by 17.7% annually to 61.8 mln metric tons in January - November 2023. Wheat sales soared by 16.6% to 46.7 mln metric tons. Grain corn sales moved up by 38.4% to eight mln metric tons.
