Transneft completes pump station in Achinsk by 70% — company
The facility will make it possible to supply 7 mln metric tons of oil more by rail to China and to the Far Eastern port of Kozmino
MOSCOW, January 9. /TASS/. A new pump station at the Achinsk line production and dispatch station to support oil supplies by rail from the Meget station in the Irkutsk Region is 70% completed, Russian pipeline operator Transneft said.
Transneft is currently building the pump station, where construction of mainline pump house is completed, installation of mainline pumps and laying of utilities are underway. The control room, the fire fighting pump station and the boiler house were also built. Installation of strainers was completed.
The new pump station "will provide for the increase of the throughput capacity of Omsk - Irkutsk, Anzhero-Sudzhensk - Krasnoyarsk, and Krasnoyarsk - Irkutsk oil pipelines to 65 mln metric tons per year at the section from Anzhero-Sudzhensk to Achinsk and to 58 mln metric tons per year at the section from Achinsk to Taishet. Construction readiness of the station is 70% to date," the company said.
Transneft is building the pump station in the Irkutsk Region, scheduled for the start in the first half of 2024, which will make it possible to supply 7 mln metric tons of oil more by rail to China and to the Far Eastern port of Kozmino, CEO Nikolay Tokarev said earlier.
