Lukashenko signs law on Belarusian budget for 2024
Expenditures of the republican budget are projected to grow by 13.9% against 2023
MINSK, December 30. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko approved the law on the country’s budget for 2024, with the relevant document posted on the national legal web portal.
"The republican budget to be approved for 2024 as regards expenses totaling 44,657,435,817 [Belarusian] rubles ($13.53 bln) on the basis of the projected amount of revenues totaling 39,906,350,636 [Belarusian] rubles ($12.1 bln). To determine the amount of the republican budget deficit as totaling 4,751,085,181 [Belarusian] rubles ($1.43 bln) and its funding documents," the law reads.
Revenues are expected to grow by 2.8% against the 2023 budget performance estimate. Key sources of revenues will be the value-added tax, excises and levies on revenues from foreign economic activity. Expenditures of the republican budget are projected to grow by 13.9% against 2023.
The foreign debt ceiling is set as $19 bln and the foreign debt ceiling guaranteed by Belarus is set as $2.5 bln.
