Russia can boost fertilizer production by 10% in 2024 — Association
According to the Association’s forecast, the output of fertilizers may grow up to more than 64 mln metric tons
MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. The output of fertilizers in Russia as of the end of 2023 may reach the level of 2021 at 59 mln metric tons and exports will also recover, head of the Russian Association of Fertilizer Producers Andrey Guryev said.
According to the Association’s forecast, the output of fertilizers may grow up to 10% to more than 64 mln metric tons and deliveries abroad will also grow.
"Provided that the current capacity utilization of plants is maintained, production growth up to 10% against 2023 (over 64 mln metric tons) can be expected in 2024. As regards the export forecast, growth to the level above the year of 2021 can be expected in 2024 on condition of keeping the current capacity utilization of plants and preserving [export market] supplies as of late 2023," Guryev said, cited by the Association.
