MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Russia has shipped grain and derivative products to 100 countries since the beginning of 2023, Russia’s agricultural regulator, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor), said in a statement.

"Since the beginning of 2023, the [Grain Quality Assessment Center’s] laboratories have tested 60.2 mln tons of exported grain products for compliance with the requirements of importing countries, while shipments of Russian grain and processed grain have been carried out to 100 countries," said Ruslan Khasanov, head of the Grain Quality Assessment Center (GQAC) Federal State Budgetary Institution, as quoted by Rosselkhoznadzor.

He also noted that this year relevant divisions of the GQAC have begun work for assessing the safety and quality of grain, as well as conducting plant quarantines in Russia’s new territories: the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, and the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) and Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR).

Earlier, the Russian Agriculture Ministry confirmed the projected grain exports for the current agricultural year (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024) in the amount of at least 65 mln tons. At the end of November, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev announced that Russia could export more than 65 mln tons of grain based on the results of the current season.
