MOSCOW, December 21. /TASS/. Steel production in Russia surged by 12.5% year on year to 6.4 mln metric tons in November 2023, the World Steel Association (WSA) said on Thursday.

Steel production in Russia added 6.4% annually to 70.2 mln metric tons in January - November 2023, according to the report by WSA.

Steel production by Russia, Ukraine and other CIS countries stood at 7.4 mln metric tons in November 2023, having increased by 14.8% in annual terms.

Global steel production stood at 145.5 mln metric tons in this November, up 3.3% year on year.
