Burlak off-road vehicles delivered to Yakutia's emergency situations branch
During an expedition in 2023, rescuers covered almost 4,000 kilometers in Yakutia's Arctic, they tested the vehicles on winter roads, off-road and mountainous terrain
YAKUTSK, December 19. /TASS/. Yakutia's branch of Russia's Emergency Situations Ministry received two Burlak off-road vehicles, which the producer designed to fit requirements from rescuers, the regional branch's press service said.
"Over three years of tests, the Burlak off-road vehicles have proven their effectiveness. The regional branch of Russia's Ministry of Emergency Situations has checked the frequency, cost and convenience of performed maintenance works, the corrosion resistance, how reliable the units are, the consumption of spare parts and materials, how easy driving is, and how well the vehicles are prepared to work in real conditions," the press service said.
During an expedition in 2023, rescuers covered almost 4,000 kilometers in Yakutia's Arctic, they tested the vehicles on winter roads, off-road and mountainous terrain. "Rescue operations require vehicles that can work all year round in difficult climatic conditions. Additionally, the all-terrain vehicles are completely ours, domestic. By using modern special vehicles we will respond promptly to any incidents, thus ensuring the safety of Yakutia's population," the press service added.
Burlak off-road vehicles of various modifications are made at the Kurgan plant. The vehicles have been used in the Chukotka, Khanty-Mansi, Yamalo-Nenets, Komi, Yakutia, Krasnoyarsk, Trans-Baikal, Sverdlovsk and Magadan Regions, as well as in the Antarctica.
