Moscow to attract Chinese investments, technologies to Russia’s fuel and energy sector

MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. Moscow intends to boost supplies of energy resources to the Chinese market and attract Chinese investments and technologies to the Russian fuel and energy sector, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said following the meeting of the intergovernmental commission on energy cooperation between the two countries, the cabinet reported.
"We expect the closest partnership with the Chinese side in the energy sector in all cooperation areas. The issue is about both further boosting supplies of Russian energy resources to the Chinese market and attracting Chinese investments and cutting-edge technological solutions to the fuel and energy complex of the Russian Federation," he said.
"The Sino-Russian relations rely on principles of equal rights, mutual respect, readiness to provide strong mutual support on issues concerning basic national interests. Energy takes an important place in the complex of Sino-Russian diversified ties," Novak added.
