MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. Balance of Russia’s foreign trade decreased to $115.6 bln in January-October 2023 from $289.4 bln in the same period in 2022, according to figures released on the Federal Customs Service’s website.

Exports from the country fell to $351.1 bln in the period from $493.1 bln, while imports rose to $235.5 bln from $203.7 bln. Exports to European countries dropped to $72 bln from $233.2 bln, while imports slipped from $72.7 bln to $65.3 bln.

Exports to Asian countries increased to $250.9 bln from $230.2 bln, while imports - to $154.3 bln from $114.1 bln.

Trade also grew with African countries as exports went up to $17.9 bln from $11.4 bln, while imports - to $2.8 bln from $2.6 bln. That said, Russia’s exports to countries of North and South America went down to $10.1 bln from $17.9 bln, while imports - to $12.5 bln from $13.7 bln.
