"People understand that everything pertaining to the art is beyond time, beyond space," Viktor Moiseikin noted

BANGKOK, December 14. /TASS/. The Western countries maintain the demand for Russian jewelry, despite their sanction policy, chief executive of MOISEIKIN jewelry company told TASS at an exhibition in Bangkok.

The exhibition styled "Inspired by Russia - From Craftsmanship to Art" is being held with support of the Russian Embassy in Thailand.

"Yes, difficulties arise with us as regards our partners in certain Western countries. This refers to stores and jewelry companies. At the same time, we note retail buyers have a growing interest in our products. We do not hide at the same time that this is made in Russia, that this is Russian jewelry," Viktor Moiseikin said.

MOISEIKIN worked "with Swiss, Chinese and Hong Kong auction firms" and started selling its products at the Sotheby's auction this year, the chief executive said. "Furthermore, they do not even conceal that we are a Russian company. Sound people remain nevertheless, who understand that all these phenomena [sanctions and Russian culture canceling attempts - TASS] are temporary, probably inconsistent by nature. People understand that everything pertaining to the art is beyond time, beyond space," Moiseikin noted.

The company is buying such gems in Thailand as rubies, sapphires, and tsavorites, the chief executive said. "We are buying the majority of color gems in Thailand and we also use Ural emeralds, amethysts, garnets and malachite," he added.
