Over $11 bln per year budgeted for development of new Russian regions — Putin

Previously the former Kiev authorities failed to pay due attention to those regions, the Russian president noted
MOSCOW, December 14. /TASS/. More than 1 trillion rubles ($11 bln) is provided for in Russia’s federal budget per year for integration and development of new regions, President Vladimir Putin said during his combined Direct Line Q&A session and year-end press conference.
"Regarding the future of regions, many questions focus particularly on it, from new regions as well, and from other parts of the Russian Federation. What goes next? How will they develop? More than 1 trillion rubles is provided for in the federal budget per year for development of those regions and their gradual integration into Russia’s economic, social life," he said.
Previously the former Kiev authorities failed to pay due attention to those regions, Putin added.
