Bilateral trade between Russia and Azerbaijan grew by 20% year-on-year in January-October, the Russian government reported on its Telegram channel following a meeting of Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexey Overchuk and Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev.
"The growth in trade turnover between Russia and Azerbaijan in January-October 2023 amounted to 20% compared to the same period in 2022," the statement says.
During their meeting in Moscow the deputy prime ministers who co-chair the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation "reviewed current issues of bilateral trade and economic cooperation" and "noted the positive dynamics of trade development, confirming the effectiveness of bilateral cooperation," according to the statement.
