Russia will continue improving efficiency of management in the electric power sector, the Deputy Prime Minister said earlier

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. About 2 GW of power generating capacity and more than 400 power grid facilities are planned to be restored in new Russian regions during the next two years, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said.

"Particular attention is paid to developing the energy potential of new regions. It is planned to restore over 2,000 MW of power generating capacity and more than 400 of power grid facilities during the two years to come," Novak said.

Russia will continue improving efficiency of management in the electric power sector, the Deputy Prime Minister said earlier. Reference operating expenses and a single responsibility center are planned to be introduced in each region. Territorial grid companies will be optimized and consolidated to improve reliability of power supplies in regions. Programs and projects focus on development of the domestic market and its capacity increase.
