India filling gaps in Russian market left by Western companies — official
Working together in industry is among the key elements of Russian-Indian cooperation, Alexey Gruzdev noted
NEW DELHI, December 8. /TASS/. Indian suppliers are successfully filling the niches in the Russian market vacated by the Western companies who left, Russian Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Alexey Gruzdev said.
"Indian vendors in the Russian market are successfully filling the niches vacated after the exit of traditionally present Western companies," Gruzdev said.
Working together in industry is among the key elements of Russian-Indian cooperation, the official noted. Joint projects are being executed and considered in railway machinery, metallurgy, ore mining, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, information, technology and other spheres, he said.
"Russian businesses are showing more and more interest in localizing production in India, being guided by the ‘Make in India’ and ‘Self-reliant India’ programs," Gruzdev added.
