Russian finance minister says inflation in 2024 projected at 4.5%
Earlier, the Economic Development Ministry pointed out that it maintained its inflation forecast at the end of 2023 at 7.5%
MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. Russia’s Finance Ministry projects inflation at 4.5% in 2024, Minister Anton Siluanov said.
"We project [inflation at - TASS] slightly over 4% - 4.5%," he told reporters.
Weekly inflation in Russia equaled 0.12% from November 28 to December 4, 2023, the Federal Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported earlier. In the previous week, from November 21 to 27, inflation in Russia was 0.33%. Consumer prices added 0.07% since the beginning of December, and 6.79% year-to-date.
Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov said on the sidelines of the "Russia Calling!" forum on Thursday that the ministry maintained its inflation forecast at the end of 2023 at 7.5%.
The Bank of Russia projects inflation at the range of 7-7.5% as of the end of 2023.
