MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. The global economy is to expect a "real revolution" in coming years, President Vladimir Putin said at the VTB Investment Forum "Russia Calling!"

Modern and advanced solutions are increasingly more used at present in international payments, including the ones based on the blockchain and digital currencies of central banks, the Russian leader said. "According to expert assessments, this will result in a real revolution as early as in coming years, which will ultimately undermine the monopoly of major Western banks," Putin noted.

"They [the Western banks], as we see, are not in a very good condition also. At least some of them definitely," he added.
