European jurisdictions cease to be 'safe havens' for business — Putin
Actions of Western countries are ruining the system of financial, trade and business relations built up for decades, including by the West itself, the Russian leader noted
MOSCOW, December 7. /TASS/. European jurisdictions are not the ‘safe havens’ for the business anymore, President Vladimir Putin said at the VTB Investment Forum "Russia Calling!"
"European jurisdictions that have been considered just recently to be safe, the so-called ‘safe havens,’ actually ceased to be such. The ‘friend or foe’ principle is now effective there <…> where a foe can be robbed, leave holding an empty bag, and its assets, companies and enterprises can be blocked, taken away and even liquidated as a result of sabotage, as it was with the Nord Stream [gas pipeline]," the President said.
"This is how the competitive activity looks like in the rule-based world," Putin noted. "Who needs such rules?" he asked.
