Rosneft posts 3.9% rise in production of liquid hydrocarbons for 9M to 4 mbd
The company's oil refining also went up by 3.3% in the reporting period year-on-year to 65.8 mln tons
MOSCOW, November 30. /TASS/. Rosneft’s production of liquid hydrocarbons went up by 3.9% in the first nine months of 2023 year-on-year to 4 mln barrels per day mainly due to resumption of production at the Sakhalin-1 project, the company reported. Total production of hydrocarbons rose by 10.7% in 9M to 5.5 mln barrels per day of oil equivalent, whereas output of hydrocarbons in Q3 amounted to 5.4 mln barrels per day of oil equivalent.
Production of liquid hydrocarbons in Q3 equaled 3.9 mln barrels per day amid Russian oil production restrictions since March 2023, while it was almost flat quarter-on-quarter.
Rosneft’s gas production increased by 33% in 9M year-on-year to 1.5 mln barrels of oil equivalent per day, while in Q3 gas output also totaled 1.5 mln barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Chief Executive Officer of Rosneft Igor Sechin was quoted as saying that production of hydrocarbons in 9M grew due to the development of current projects and the launch of new ones.
Rosneft’s oil refining also went up by 3.3% in the reporting period year-on-year to 65.8 mln tons. Q3 refining edged up by 0.9% quarter-on-quarter to 21.7 mln tons.
