Russia’s vodka production volume falls by 5.1% in October

MOSCOW, November 29. /TASS/. The production of vodka in Russia in October 2023 decreased by 5.1% compared to the same period last year and totaled 8.4 mln decaliters, according to the Russian Statistics Service (Rosstat).

The production volume of sparkling wines and champagne dropped by 11.9% annually to 2 mln decaliters. Brandy production gained 12.1% year on year to 947,000 decaliters.

At the same time, 63.2 mln deciliters of beer were produced in October, which is 20.8% more than in the like month of the last year.

The bottling of mineral water and drinking water amounted to 1.6 bln half-liters. This is 27% more than in October 2022.
