MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Russia can join ranks of the top three global producers of liquefied natural gas (LNG), Gazprom said.

"A significant increase of LNG production is expected over time, in particular, in the US, Qatar and Russia; a decline is forecasted in Australia. Gazprom will make a mateirla contribution to development of the national LNG branch. As a result, Russia can join ranks of the top three LNG producers globally," the gas holding said after the Board meeting.

The LNG global trade volume ticked up by 2% over three quarters of this year, Gazprom added.
