One more factor for the decline in LNG consumption is the low level of supplies backing by contracts

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. Gazprom expects that Europe will reduce liquefied natural gas (LNG) consumption further on, the Russian gas holding said.

China, India and Southeast Asian nations will support the bulk of global incremental growth of LNG demand in the long run, the company noted.

"Europe, on the contrary, can reduce LNG imports against the record-high level of 2022. This will be driven to a significant extent by contraction of gas demand in the region amid further weakening of its economic and industrial potential," Gazprom said.

One more factor for the decline in LNG consumption is the low level of supplies backing by contracts. It stands at less than 20% from the forecast capacity of European regasifying terminals in 2035.
