Minister suggests developing Arctic Startup-Expedition into international event
The project is aimed at the development of human capital in the Far East and Arctic through the support of initiatives and projects in the creative economy
YAKUTSK, November 24. /TASS/. Russia's Minister for Development of the Far East and Arctic Alexey Chekunov suggested developing the Arctic Startup-Expedition Russian Far East and Arctic into an international event.
"The Arctic Startup-Expedition Russian Far East and Arctic continues the unique Far Eastern startup-expedition, which Yakutia launched back in 2019," he told reporters. "The focus then was on searching for technology startups. Nowadays, in addition to IT, it covers practically all key sectors."
"I am confident this project will develop. <…> My suggestion today, and I hope, it will be supported, is as follows: let us work jointly to make this project international. <…> Our big partner countries in Asia, in the Middle East, in the world, I am sure, will be interested in taking part in this format," he continued. "Thus, we will work to have the startup-expedition involve more and more young people, professionals <…> both from Russia and from across the world."
The project is aimed at the development of human capital in the Far East and Arctic through the support of initiatives and projects in the creative economy.
The minister participates in the Digital Diamond forum in Yakutia, which hosts the event for the second time.
