Minsk redirects exports, compensates losses from sanctions — official
Investors are confident in the business climate evolved in Belarus, do not withdraw profits earned and reinvest their funds, Yury Chebotar stressed
MOSCOW, November 23. /TASS/. Belarus has redirected exports to friendly nations in response to sanctions introduced by the West and fully compensated economic losses, acting Economy Minister of the country Yury Chebotar said at the Belarusian Investment Forum in Moscow.
"We redirected exports to friendly markets in recent years, having fully compensated Western markets. Despite the unprecedented external pressure, investments keep the growth rate," Chebotar said.
Investors are confident in the business climate evolved in Belarus, do not withdraw profits earned and reinvest their funds, he stressed.
In June 2021, the European Union imposed sectoral sanctions on Belarus, providing among other things for a ban on trade in and transit of individual kinds of potash fertilizers.
