Russia plans to build 270 MC-21 aircraft before 2030 — Yakovlev company
The MC-21 aircraft fully made of local components will be built in 2024
MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. By 2030, 270 MC-21 aircraft will be produced in Russia, according to a presentation by Oleg Nesterov, Deputy General Director of the Yakovlev Aircraft Company, which was shown at the Moscow Aviation Week.
As follows from his presentation, it is also planned to produce up to 142 SJ 100 aircraft and 115 Tu-214 aircraft by 2030. Moreover, it is planned to build another 70 Il-114 aircraft.
The MC-21 aircraft fully made of local components will be built in 2024. Currently, 36 more aircraft systems need to be replaced, including the auxiliary power unit, fuel and hydraulic systems. Thirty-three systems are already at the testing stage. The SJ 100 aircraft is in a similar state: 37 systems need to be replaced, and all of them are already at the testing stage.
