Russia to create energy exports expansion plan — Energy Ministry
South America, Africa and developing countries of the Asia-Pacific Region are expected to become key centers of energy consumption growth worldwide, the ministry said
KEMEROVO, November 22. /TASS/. The Russian Energy Strategy by 2050 implies development a plan for expanding the infrastructure for exports to countries of Africa, Latin America, and the Asia-Pacific Region, according to the presentation of First Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin.
"Expediting implementation of infrastructural projects that will make it possible to redirect oil and gas export flows from the West to the South and the East, including development of a plan to expand the infrastructure of exports to African, Latin American, and Asia-Pacific nations," the presentation reads.
South America, Africa and developing countries of the Asia-Pacific Region are expected to become key centers of energy consumption growth worldwide, the Energy Ministry said. Energy consumption in these regions is forecast to grow by 70.2%, 112.7%, and 28.7% respectively by 2050.
