ISTANBUL, November 21. /TASS/. The trade turnover between Turkey and Russia may grow to $100 bln in 2028 and achieve goals set by leaders of the two countries, head of the Turkey-Russia Business Council Izzet Ekmekcibasi told TASS.
"The trade turnover between our countries may reach $100 bln as of 2028 year-end. The bilateral trade volume is expected to be $70-75 bln this year," the businessman said.
The Turkish-Russian trade turnover totaled about $55 bln, he noted. "The growth trend is obvious," Ekmekcibasi said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) presentation in Istanbul.
"We expect proactive participation of Turkish companies in the forum called ‘the Russian Davos.’ The SPIEF has recently turned into a major international business floor providing opportunities for business development in Russia," he added.
