The second session of APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) nations’ leaders in San Francisco (California) focused on international trade, artificial intelligence (AI) and environment, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk who heads the country’s delegation at the APEC summit said.
"The second session of APEC economies’ leaders just ended. It focused on the issues of sustainable economic inclusive growth and interdependence. The main issues discussed concerned the development of the global trade system," he told reporters.
"Digital transformation, AI issues, AI development, AI regulation were much emphasized" at the meeting, the official said, adding that the topics of "investment in green transformation," as well as climate financing, were also discussed.
The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit may be ranked as successful as a consensus was reached amid challenging conditions, Overchuk said.
