National tourism project to be extended after 2024 — minister
According to Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov, the parameters for financing the national project are still being worked out
MURMANSK, November 17. /TASS/. Russia’s national tourism project will be extended after 2024 with the support from the government and the president, Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov said at a meeting with representatives of the tourism industry.
"Tourism development is a top priority. There is a national project. It officially expires in 2024, but it will be extended with the support of the government and the president. Because we are introducing new competitions and selections, it is already evident that a huge number of programs will be continued," he said.
The minister added that the parameters for financing the national project are still being worked out because it would be a comprehensive systemic solution for all national initiatives. As a result, he observed, budget-related issues have now been presented to the next cycle.
"We also set the goal of maximizing synergy with other programs. We began looking at small companies and agreed to work on it with the SME Corporation," Reshetnikov explained.
