MOSCOW, November 17. /TASS/. The decision made by the Russian government to abolish from November 17 the temporary ban on motor gasoline exports will make it possible for domestic refineries to support the high fuel production level, the Energy Ministry said.

"The winter period is traditionally characterized by the lower demand for motor gasoline and the completion of turnaround cycles at refineries. For purposes of preventing capacity utilization lowering at refineries and supporting high levels of marketable motor gasoline production, and considering stabilization of the price situation in the domestic market, the decision was made to terminate the temporary ban on motor gasoline exports," the ministry said.

"The ministry at the same time will continue monitoring of production and price indicators for the purpose of possible taking prompt measures to provide the domestic market with fuel, including the return of the motor gasoline export ban if required," it added.
