Russia outpaces Germany by purchasing power parity — Putin
The Russian president cited the United Kingdom as an example, speaking about changing trends in global development
ST. PETERSBURG, November 17. /TASS/. Russia has outpaced Germany in terms of the purchasing power parity and such trends will only grow, President Vladimir Putin said at the St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum.
"Russia has left the Federal Republic of Germany behind by the purchasing power parity. Trends have simply changed cardinally. They are intensifying and will change," the President said.
Putin cited the United Kingdom as an example, speaking about changing trends in global development. "The United Kingdom has just recently ranked 4th - 5th in the world by the economic volume, and now, in my opinion, 10th or 9th. This is not because certain developments take place in Russian - Ukrainian relations, these are the objective trends of global development," the head of state added.
