Russia calls at APEC summit for universal access to energy transition technologies
Technologies are crucial today in order to achieve the energy transition, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said
SAN FRANCISCO, November 17. /TASS/. Russia and a number of other countries attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in the United States voiced the need for the universal access to technologies that are required for the energy transition, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk said on Friday.
"A number of leaders, including us, have stressed the need for everyone to have access to technologies," Overchuk, who heads the Russian delegation at the APEC summit in the United States, told journalists. "Technologies are crucial today in order to achieve the energy transition."
The summit of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) is held in San Francisco, California, on November 16-17. High on its agenda are matters of trade, digital assets, financial stability and innovations.
