All bans lifted for flights of aircraft of foreign make — leasing company
Contracts were renewed with S7 air carrier for six Boeing airplanes and information was received from Yamal company about intentions to have three Airbus aircraft returned, Evgeny Ditrikh noted
MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. All the earlier introduced bans for flights of airplanes of foreign make owned by the State Transport Leasing Company (STLC), CEO Evgeny Ditrikh told TASS on the sidelines of the Transport of Russia forum.
"All the STLC airplanes of foreign production were filed into the Russian register. The problem arisen in late September, firstly, was solved in a day and there are no flight restrictions at the moment, and, secondly, it was not related to aircraft registration," the chief executive said. STLC expects that airlines "will renew contracts with a Russian legal entity for free access to friendly foreign countries from now on," he noted.

In late September, certain media outlets reported that the Russian civil aviation regulator recommended airlines not used aircraft leased from STLC subsidiaries when flying abroad, except flights to Turkey and Belarus. According to industry sources, restrictions were related to a risk of seizure of airplanes of foreign subsidiaries of STLC undergoing dissolution.
