MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. Delivery robots will appear in all major cities of Russia, the CIS, and the Middle East within three years, the founder of the Bernaskoni interdisciplinary bureau and the urban development council of the Skolkovo Innovation Center told TASS.

"The urban environment and the infrastructure in major cities of Russia and other regions of the globe, for example, in certain CIS countries and all countries of the Middle East, are ready for implementation of robot deliveries. The question is when such robots will travel everywhere - [the timeframe] is three years," Boris Bernaskoni said.

Architectural bureaus in Russia are already planning new houses with addressed ability of robots to go up floors by interacting with elevators and other housing infrastructure, the expert said.

Yandex, the Russian Post and Skolkovo earlier announced successful tests of delivery robots for parcels. The tests were held from October 25, 2021 to August 31, 2023 in Moscow, the Leningrad Region, and Tatarstan.
