Citizens of unfriendly countries actively use Russian electronic visas — diplomat
According to Yevgeny Ivanov, the procedure for obtaining a visa is extremely simple
MOSCOW, November 16. /TASS/. Citizens of countries unfriendly to Russia are actively using the opportunity to get a Russian electronic visa, Russian State Secretary and Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov said at the plenary session of the State Duma.
"According to the decision of the Russian president, citizens of unfriendly states, first of all the entire European Union, are also included in this system, have received this opportunity. And they actively use it, get an electronic visa, come here," he said.
According to Ivanov, the procedure for obtaining a visa is extremely simple. "There you need, let's say, access to the Internet and 20 minutes of free time to get it, you don't exactly need any more supporting documents," the senior diplomat said. "Therefore, it is actively used, including by citizens of unfriendly states. Citizens of these states, in our opinion, are not to blame for what is happening and the way their governments behave, so in this respect they have received all these privileges," he concluded.
