MOSCOW, November 15. /TASS/. Cargo throughput in Russian seaports will reach 850 mln metric tons as of 2023 year-end, Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev said.

"We plan to achieve the throughput level of 850 mln metric tons as of the year-end. I would like to tell you that we transshipped 842 mln tons last year, as an example. The growth rate is in place and we see it," the minister said.

The cargo turnover of Russian seaports gained 7.8% year on year in January - October 2023 and totaled 749.3 mln metric tons, the Federal Agency of Maritime and River Transport said earlier.
