Less than third of Russians interested in dollar exchange rate — survey
As the Superjob service notes, men are more interested in currency news than women
MOSCOW, November 13. /TASS/. Only a quarter of Russians are interested in currency news and less than a third in the dollar exchange rate, according to the results of a survey conducted by the Superjob service.
"Today, 26% of Russians are interested in the dollar exchange rate, while 24% are following the euro exchange rate. In August, three out of ten respondents monitored currency news," the survey said.
It was noted that men are more interested in currency news than women. Russians under 35 are more interested in currency news than those over 35, and people who earn more than 80,000 rubles ($866.35) a month are more interested than those who earn less.
People expect that on January 9, 2024, the first working day of the year, the dollar will be worth 103.46 rubles and the euro will be worth 112.75 rubles. The forecasts were influenced more by the October stock market rally than by the current weakness of the dollar and the euro.
The survey, which was conducted from November 3 to 10, included 1,600 economically active people from 363 settlements in all regions of the country.
