Russia, Kazakhstan to boost oil production efforts — statement

ASTANA, November 9. /TASS/. Russia and Kazakhstan will make more active the dialog on oil production and development of the pipeline system, according to the joint statement of presidents of the two countries made during talks in Astana.
"[The parties intend] to make more active the dialog on issues regarding exploration, tight oil production, diversification of routes for energy resources transportation, and exchange of experience and personnel training. To implement construction plans for new pipelines and upgrade existing ones for efficient transportation of natural gas, oil and petroleum products to consumers of two countries and to third countries," the document reads.
Russia and Kazakhstan are going to collaborate in the sphere of peaceful nuclear energy and in the sphere of energy security provision. The two countries will expand the potential for interaction in the electric power sphere, including with the use of innovative technologies.
