MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. The Russian agriculture ministry supports extension of duties on wine from unfriendly countries at 20% for 2024, Agriculture Minister Dmitry Patrushev told a forum.
"We support the proposal to extend this measure after January 1, 2024 as well," he said.
In July 2023 the Russian government increased import duties on wine from unfriendly countries from 12.5% to 20%, valid until the end of 2023. Domestic wine production and imports from friendly countries fully meet domestic demand, the Economic Development Ministry noted.
