Russia’s budget deficit preliminary totals $13 bln in January-October — finance ministry
According to the ministry, preliminarily federal budget expenditures totaled 24.341 trillion rubles in the first ten months of 2023, up by 11.7% year-on-year
MOSCOW, November 7. /TASS/. Russia’s federal budget deficit in January-October 2023 amounted to 1.23 trillion rubles ($13.3 bln), according to preliminary figures provided by the Finance Ministry.
"According to preliminary estimates, federal budget revenues in January-October 2023 amounted to 23.106 trillion rubles, which is 4.4% higher than the volume of revenues received in the same period in 2022. Meanwhile stable positive dynamics is registered on key non-oil and gas revenues received both by the federal budget and the budget system overall," the ministry said in a statement released on its website.
Preliminarily federal budget expenditures totaled 24.341 trillion rubles in the first ten months of 2023, up by 11.7% year-on-year (+4.1% year-on-year since the beginning of Q2 2023), according to the ministry.
Russia’s Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said in an interview with Asharq News Bloomberg earlier that the country’s budget deficit would be slightly over 1% of GDP in 2023.
