MOSCOW, November 4. /TASS/. "Russia’s economy in tatters’ is only in the imagination of the US authorities, as in reality this is not true, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at the Znanie (Knowledge) educational marathon on the sidelines of RUSSIA EXPO.
"Their truth is that Russia’s economy is in tatters, that there is no more ruble and so on and so forth. No. No," he said commenting on a variety of statements by US President Joe Biden and other US politicians.
"Their ‘truth’ that we are in tatters is actually untrue," Peskov emphasized.
In January 2015, then US President Barack Obama said in his annual address to Congress, in particular, that Russia had been isolated and its economy "in tatters" since the sanctions were imposed.
