MOSCOW, November 2. /TASS/. Shipments over the network of Russian Railways will have an uptick by 1.7% to 1.265 bln metric tons, Transport Minister Vitaly Savelyev said at the Cabinet meeting.

"All the performance indicators of Russian Railways in 2024 were prepared with a significant increase against this year," Savelyev said. "Freight shipments are estimated at 1.265 bln metric tons, with the 1.7% growth against the present year," he noted.

Shipments over the Russian Railways network will be over 1.2 bln metric tons as of 2023 year-end, Savelyev added.
