ST. PETERSBURG, November 1. /TASS/. Russia has not closed the western route for gas supplies, it is open for negotiations on supplies to Europe, but is waiting for proposals from the buyer, Energy Minister Nikolay Shulginov said at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

"We are open to negotiations on resuming supplies, but there must be an offer from the buyer," he said.

According to him, gas supplies to Pakistan and India are among the most promising areas, as well as swap supplies to Iran.

"We can also add swap supplies to Iran. There is also a promising direction - India, Pakistan. We have not closed [the Western direction] and still consider ourselves a reliable supplier," he noted.
