Buyer of business Decathlon in Russia launches new retail chain Desport

MOSCOW, October 31. /TASS/. The ARM company, which acquired the Russian division of sports retailer Decathlon, is launching a new network of sports stores called Desport. The first stores will be opened in December, the company told TASS.
"Desport stores will open their doors in December this year, and the assortment will be formed as the goods arrive," the company said.
The assortment will be gradually expanded to include the new chain's own brands, as well as other well-known brands. In addition, Desport plans to open its online store in the near future.
Decathlon is a French company specializing in the development, production and retailing of sporting goods. The first Decathlon store in Russia was opened in Moscow in 2006. At the end of March 2022, the chain announced the suspension of operations in Russia. In the summer of the same year, its stores in Russia were closed.
