Mutual service trade between Georgia, Russia skyrocketing in 2022
According to statistics, Russia became the top partner of Georgia in export of services, provided in the amount of $981.2 mln
TBILISI, October 31. /TASS/. Bilateral trade in services between Georgia and Russia soared by a factor of 4.8 year on year to more than $1 bln in 2022, the national statistical service of Georgia reported.
According to statistics, Russia became the top partner of Georgia in export of services, provided in the amount of $981.2 mln. The increase stood at 419.1% year on year. The share of Russia in total exports of Georgian services made up to 17.2%, followed by Turkey with 12.1% and Ukraine (5,7%). Total exports of Georgian services surged by 123.9% to $5.7 bln. Principal kinds of services provided by Georgia are travels, transport services, telecommunications and information services.
The share of Russia was 3.1% in imports of services in 2022. Services were imported to the amount of $94.6 mln, which is 190.8% above the 2021 figure. Total imports were over $3 bln. The largest share is held by Turkey (15,9%), China and Azerbaijan (6.8% each). Transport services and travels are among main kinds of services received by Georgia.
